Policy 21 - Merit Based Recruitment and Selection Plan
The purpose of this merit-based recruitment and selection plan is to fill positions subject to the State Personnel Act from among the most qualified individuals. This plan is a reiteration of a long-standing practice, which prevents any political influence in the hiring process and is being written at the direction of the Office of State Personnel to more fully effectuate SB886.
